Comments about Billingham L2 Bag:
A Leica M9 with a 50mm summicron attached and two additional lenses fit comfortably. The rear and front pockets hold much more than I expected. The presence of brass feet and the lack of a cumbersome zipper to get to the front pocket, make it better than the Billingham Leica bag, in my opinion. Excellent construction. It fits nicely on my hips for carrying.

Comments about Billingham L2 Bag:
I've owned Billingham bags before, many years ago, and loved them all. They seem to only improve with age! This little bag seems lighter than my old ones, due no doubt to modern materials used in it's construction, but I think it is going to be just as tough. It seems very well designed, constructed and finished off, typically Billingham I thought! For me a camera bag is a very personal thing as my Leica M9 goes with me literally everywhere and so, of course must it's bag. So the bag has to be rather special. I've only had this one a few days but I think it's going to be a winner. The colour (Sage) is mellow and lovely. If ordering this bag be aware that it really does need the SP15 shoulder pad ([$]) though, which does not come with the bag as standard and probably should.

Comments about Billingham L2 Bag:
I guess I will be the first person to review this bag that isn't shooting with Leica rangefinders. I am using a Nikon D700 with Voigtlander lenses.
I was looking for a nice bag that would hold my camera and lenses and a few filters. Something that was small but not cramped. Most bags I saw were either too small or way to big. The bigger the bag the more stuff you are likely to carry. I prefer to keep my bag light. This bag fits the bill perfectly. It holds my D700 with the 40mm attached and a Hoodman eyepiece. My 20mm and 90mm fit nicely in a partitioned area. Everything is easily accessible. Filters and other small items fit in the front nicely.
This bag is very well built. I have owed a lot of bags and this is by far the nicest. Yes, it is expensive, but the equipment it is protecting cost a lot more. The padding is extremely good. I am very comfortable that my gear is safe. I have already been caught in the rain. It is waterproof. I like the brass feet that keep it off the ground.
I read somewhere that the strap was too short. I do not find this to be true. I am 5'-10' and I can wear it over my neck at a comfortable position and there is still room to make it longer.
I don't think I will ever need another bag. Even if someday I can afford to use Leica's.
