The Bowens Pulsar Clip-On Platform allows the Pulsar radio slave to be mounted to a light stand or tripod. A spring-loaded clamp grabs onto the tube, and a horizontal platform provides a mounting point for the radio slave.

I am using this clip to attach my pocket wizard transceivers to my mono-lights. Exactly what was needed and the price was right.

It serves the exact purpose it is designed to serve. I supports the Pulsar controllers and makes all the switches available for various settings.

Comments about Bowens Pulsar Clip-On Platform:
It provides a stable "platform" for my radio slaves when I use my monolights on a stand. This is particularly important when you are working outside the studio, and you have to move from one location to the other. I also use it for my battery operated flashes when I shot weddings.

Comments about Bowens Pulsar Clip-On Platform:
First off, I did not buy the Clip-on Platform to mount Bowens Pulsar radio slaves. I use Pocket Wizards and thought these things would beat using rubber bands and gaffer tape. These might work great (even if I have trouble imagining it) with Bowens gear but they are worthless with Pocket Wizards. The clamps are small and don't reach around most of my heavier stands. The springs are weak and the overall construction appears fragile. During a recent shoot, one of these suddenly flew off a boom dragging the attached Pocket Wizard with it to the ground, breaking a piece of plastic from the shoe of the Pocket Wizard as it hit the ground... that's never happened with neither rubber bands nor tape.
I got me some super clamps and put these in the box with the sign "to use in emergencies only".

Comments about Bowens Pulsar Clip-On Platform:
As practical as it can be for attaching a Pulsar in your work area. Rubberized clamp might improve it, plus a swivel, but in terms of practicality it is fine.
