The Rode Mini Boompole is a compact, lightweight solution to electronic-news-gathering (ENG) and field recording applications that do not necessarily require a long boompole. The Mini Boompole features a fully extended length of 81-inches and 33-inches when contracted. A 3/8-inch stud easily attaches to compatible microphone mounts such as the Rode SM3, SM4 and SM5 shockmounts.

I was looking for a budget boom, but still needed a professional-level performing product.
Rode definitely met both of those needs in the Mini-Boompole.
It's strong & light, haven't heard any noise over my shotgun from movement AT ALL, and it looks great!

Although it's called a mini boompole, it's plenty long enough for almost all situations. Well worth the investment.
