The Digital Spectrum MemoryVue MF-8104 Digital Frame goes beyond standard digital photo frames as it is built to easily integrate into a user's digital lifestyle.
The most impressive feature on the MF-8104 is its connectivity. The multimedia frame is Windows Vista-capable right out of the box. What does that mean? Well, this frame will let a user view photos located on their PC's hard drive as well as an online photo sharing site and display the files on the digital photo frame. What is even more exciting is the frame can be connected with either a standard USB link or an 802.11 Wi-Fi link. On top of that, the MF-8104 has 256MB of built-in flash memory that can be supplemented with a direct connection to a USB hard drive or USB flash drive filled with media files for users not running Vista, or who simply do not want to keep their computers running all day long.
Like most other digital photo frames, the MF-8104 is compatible with a wide array of photo, video and audio file formats, and can present a photo slideshow accompanied by music that is broadcast from its built-in stereo speakers.
This digital photo frame easily integrates itself and becomes a welcome addition to a home entertainment system. The LCD display can also be removed from the frame, and any other standard picture frame can be used to visually blend in with a home's interior design.

Comments about Digital Spectrum MemoryVue MF-8104 Premium Digital Multimedia Picture Frame - 10.4" LCD:
10.4" frame with 800 x 600 is plenty large enough for tabletop viewing, marginal for across the room (OK if images are closeups). Had it for two weeks and still can't get a wireless connection. Images playing from memory card have a big nasty icon in lower right corner that appears to symbolize wireless connection failure. Wonder if you have to look at another one when wireless is working. Instructions are vague–verbiage quite different from info at their website.

Comments about Digital Spectrum MemoryVue MF-8104 Premium Digital Multimedia Picture Frame - 10.4" LCD:
We have now purchased two of these frames, one for each set of grandparents. They love them, and so does the whole rest of the family. We purchased the first for Christmas 07 and come Christmas 08 it was still the best value in a wireless frame. All the siblings have the email address to the frames and can send their photos over. The grandkids that are old enough send their own photos over. The frame has a 4x3 aspect ratio, which is really what you want for digital photos, as it matches the majority of cameras out there. The picture is bright, not washed out like many others, and the resolution at 800x600 is good for the 10.5 inch frame. The wireless feature is what allows you to access the frame over the internet via email, using any of several free services. So there are no fees, and you aren't locked into any particular service. You do need to have an ISP (so there are fees in that regard), and a wireless router, but these are pretty common today. The frame has 256mb of internal memory to download photos, and you can always insert the memory card from your camera if you want to use the frame to view your latest photos. It comes with two different wood frames for surrounding the display. If you don't like either of those, you can always go down to your local department store and pick up something different, as it uses a standard 8x10 frame.

Comments about Digital Spectrum MemoryVue MF-8104 Premium Digital Multimedia Picture Frame - 10.4" LCD:
Clear picture image and wireless contection are the two main pros. The wireless set up took much longer than expected. It would have been easier if the frame had direct set ups with kodak or shutterfly online accounts; instead I had to upload pictures to the frame's pre-designated online photo websites

Comments about Digital Spectrum MemoryVue MF-8104 Premium Digital Multimedia Picture Frame - 10.4" LCD:
This picture frame did everything it was supposed to. As for the first reviewer who gave it only one star because they didn't bother to read the specs which clearly state that it is 802.11b/g and not N. Don't fault the product becuase you don't know how to use it.
We got this for my parents and set it up to pull pictures from an internet website. It was fairly simple and straight forward to setup and it streams the photos from the web flawlessly. The family can now upload photos and they automatically show up on the parent's frame so they are constantly getting new content.
Like all frames it is a bit sluggish in controlling but they don't have fast processors so this is a given. Nice selection of sites to use to pull pictures from and good resolution LCD screen make for a great experience. I would highly recommend this to others (and already have).

Comments about Digital Spectrum MemoryVue MF-8104 Premium Digital Multimedia Picture Frame - 10.4" LCD:
The frame at first appeared to have everything I wanted, good resolution, wireless capability, and large screen size. So it was a perfect anniversary gift for my wife. Unfortunately it became a nightmare and I had to return it.First of all both myself and my wife are pretty tecnically proficient. We both have numerous electronic and computer devices, so we both know how digital and wireless devices work. Right out of the box the frame seemed to be easy to use. However, we could not get it to connect to our network. We have a secured network but even when we turned the security off it still wouldn't work. The instructions did not help at all and the only trouble shooting directions given is that the "frame may be too far from the router". Unfortuately even right next to our router it still wouldn't connect. The next problem was we couldn't get the frame to connect to our computers via the USB cable. Our computers would not see the frame as a device or a drive, so we could not transfer pictures that way either. The only way we could get any picture on the frame is by sticking the memory card in the slot on the back. The frame worked fine that way but you can buy many other frames cheaper for just that capability. So after exhausting our efforts to get the frame to work and looking online for a solution I finally had to send it back and went for another brand of frame. I found out later by lookng for reviews on this frame that another professional reviewer could not get it to connect wirelessly with a Draft N router which is what we have. So if your router is a G or B you might have better success. I just wish the instructions or the specs had this information. [...]

Merchant response: Windows Vista or XP running Windows Media Center is required for photo sharing from a host PC or from the internet. Embedded 802.11b/g wireless connectivity; not Draft-N.
