you wont really notice a difference unless u plan on using the extra memory, like if u need it for photoshop, otherwise the boost in negligable. i doubled my old desktop ram from 1gb to 2gb with this, the upgrade was very pronounced, photoshop ran much more smoothly. though for any intensive photoediting or high end programs you'll need 6gbs at the very least -.-
