Installed two of the 2GB DIMM memory upgrade kits into my Power Mac G5, adding to the memory that was already installed. This brought my system up to a total of 7 GB of memory. The performance showed an immediate and dramatic increase, particularly when using memory intensive applications. Intsallation was very simple, fast and easy, the system has been operating for about three weeks with no performance issues.
This is most likely the quickest and most affordable way to increase the speed of your machine!

My computer was pretty fast when I got it 5 years ago. 512mb RAM was a lot back then. But as the applications I run got bigger with more demand for RAM, I decided to upgrade my memory.
The customer service people at B&H helped me pick out the right memory per the manufacturer's specs, as they were very specific to point out that I needed 'low density' modules and to avoid 'high density' modules, otherwise it would cause compatibility issues.
After installing the memory, it's like having a new computer. My applications run very fast, I have a lot less hang ups and even the start-up only takes moments instead of minutes.
I've had the memory running for about 2 months now, and everything is running great. There's really nothing bad to report.
Bottom line is that B&H recommending the Crucial Memory Kit was the best investment I made to upgrade my computer. I'm a happy camper.

I still use an AMD based computer from 2005 and Windows XP 32bit, so you max at 3gb ram. I have 2x512 Kingston ddr400 kit and by adding this i maxed. Running all in dual channel at 2.5-3-3-7 2.75V with no problems, rock stable.

This memory is a real power booster and is very reliable. I use it in my PowerPC and I noticed the difference in speed right away. I had two other chips that I paid five times more for and when I saw the price I was relieved that the cost I paid for the other chips happened a few years ago and it was from another vendor. If this is the memory that fits in your machine I'd say make the investment cause it is well worth it.
