SureFire flashlights are known around the world as the go-to lighting system for any and every tactical scenario. In 1969, their original product line consisted of laser sighting systems for firearms. After many years of intense research and development, the SureFire Weapon Light was born and low light law enforcement & military operations changed forever. SureFire then went on to establish themselves as the leading manufacturer of rugged, powerful and compact illumination tools for tactical applications; from weapon-mounted lights and laser sights, shield lights, baton lights & hand-held lights powerful and bright enough to qualify as force-multiplier tools that could temporarily blind, unbalance, and disorient a threat.
The Surefire G2 Nitrolon® incandescent flashlight is similar in size and performance to the 6P Original® with a virtually indestructible Nitrolon® housing. This rugged polymer housing is corrosion resistant, and a low current conductor for added protection from electrical hazards. The G2 delivers a brilliant & smooth prefocused tactical level beam that is brighter than many flashlights that are more than twice its size. With the installation of an optional P61 lamp, the illumination jumps from 65 to 120 lumens. This is a serious, powerful and reliable illumination tool for anyone looking for an everyday carry light that can deliver huge performance in a lightweight package.

Comments about Surefire G2 Nitrolon Incandescent Flashlight (Yellow):
I used a similar light source on my rifle in Iraq and Afghanistan, and this is the perfect equivalent flashlight in my opinion.
Far more powerful than its size and cost betray, ruggedized for durability, and being yellow you can find it in the dark more easily. Perfect.
The batteries will not last as long as with an LED light, but the incandescent bulb gives far superior illumination. It is not as fancy as the more expensive Surefire lights, but when you switch it on in the dark you can see. What more do you need. Perfect.

Using this for night photography. It's a little too bright sometimes, but it's the perfect size, very powerful and will use it often! great product.

Comments about Surefire G2 Nitrolon Incandescent Flashlight (Yellow):
I use it for inspections of equipment and large storage vessels that require entry into confined spaces. It doubles as my emergency light during power losses. It is small, easy to tuck into your pocket but puts out a massive amount of light and it is virtually indestructible. The lithium batteries; although a little pricey and that is the only real downside; last for years when not in use. A lot of light in a small package.
