Lightweight and fits my camera perfectly. Not for heavy duty protection but perfect to use when out and about and for placing in another bag while traveling. Love the little snap notch that you can slip your camera strap through so the case can stay on while you take photos. But if you want to take the case off completely, its a snap - literally. Bought another one for my daughter's nikon d40. Equally pleased!

This works great with my Nikon 3100. It's not too bulky and it provides sufficient protective padding.

My daughter recently purchased her first DSLR, the Nikon 3100, and was in need of some walk-around protection for it. Some quick research showed this item as an option. A little bit more money on average but worth it. It's lightweight, fits her camera with lens perfectly and used the camera's strap. It is lightweight protection against minor everyday camera use. It is NOT heavy duty protection.

The case seems rugged and protective and should meet my need to mechanically protect the camera inside a backpack and shield it from light rain when on my shoulder.

Case came exactly when expected. It is very nice to protect your camera without carrying a big camera bag. Fits my D60 Nikon perfect with a zoom lens. Really protected my camera as I traveled on vacation.

I always bring it with me when i use my camera, it was exactely what I was looking for and I feel safe when I put it in the case, that is not the generic one but The original one.No problem with it.It was my first time in B&H but it was the first time in NY too for me.Wanderful..thank you

Would actually give this case 3.5 stars. Nice lightweight soft case. Easily fits D5000 with 18/55m lens or 55/200mm lens. I have Camera Armor on mine, so it's a VERY tight fit with the 18/55mm. With the armor on and 55/200mm lens equipped, it will not fit in the case.

If you are looking for a simple and inexpensive light duty case to provide bump and scratch protection for a day trip, this case will suit your needs.

If you use Camera Armor or a similar silicone-style protective cover, it will be a very tight fit and a bit cumbersome to remove the camera from the case and reinstall it in the case.

i keep my camera in it all the time, it fits perfectly and protects it well. but the case is soft so it won't protect it if you drop it.

It has a cheek design and it's not tacky to carry around!

I highly recommend this product over any Nikon SLR bags.

Great way to protect my Nikon D60 without lugging around a big case. You are able to keep the case attached to the neck strap so when you are using the camera you don't have to worry about loosing the case. I lost my first case because I did not use this feature but liked the case enough to buy it a second time. Because I have an additional side hand grip on my camera it does not fit in the case as well as it should.

When the description said "Semi-Soft" I expected the case to have a bit more protection than it does. As it is, the only thing that is 'semi' about it is the small leather covering at the lens end. The rest is definitely soft (mostly netting)and offers minimal protection. Perhaps my fault for not checking the product on other websites for a more accurate description.

Nice case for D3000. Appears to be made of padded heavy duty synthetic material that will protect camera and lens from moderate collisions with the ground or other objects. Side has small snap strap that attaches the case to the camera strap while allowing you to remove the case completely. Nice Nikon name tag on front. One caviat, if you're used to the hard leather cases that cameras "in the day" used to have, this isn't it. If you're looking for an everyday case to protect your Nikon from normal wear and tear it's a great solution.
