I was a little worried at first when it didn't behave like the Nikon battery in the charger - the light kept blinking, as if the battery never fully charged. However, it lasted me all week, and nearly 200 pictures, and the next time I charged it, it only took about 2 hours and the charger indicator was back to normal.

I bought this battery along with my Nikon D60 on March 2008. I have used the camera and both the Nikon battery and the Impact for a couple of vacations trips since then with no problems until now. In the middle of my christmas vacations this battery died! It doesn't even charge! Pretty expensive for a 9-month -lasting battery.

What seemed like a good savings in the start is now a huge waste of money! I have three batteries for my digital camera that I use for shooting weddings and portrait sessions. The two Nikon batteries are about 6 months OLDER than the Impact and they now last 4 times as long and are far more dependable. It is not worth the $10-$20 you save to buy this battery vs. the Nikon. In the end you will just spend more, because like me, you'll have to replace it a LOT sooner!

I always use Impact batteries for my spares. I see no difference between Impact and the ones that come from the manufactuers of my digital cameras.

I got a dud. It worked fine at first, now 5 months later it's dead. I used it to shoot an event, then put it away for awhile (fully charged), only to find it no longer works. The Nikon battery that came with my camera is fine, so I'm going to spend the extra $10 and get one I can count on.

I bought this one as a backup battery and found out that it is as good as the battery that came with my D60. Well made, fits perfectly the camera and the charger.

The only downside is that it does not come with a plastic clip to avoid its eletric contatcs to be short-circuited when not in use, and the Nikon's does have it. Since I have one Nikon battery and one Impact, and one of them is always in the camera, there is always one plastic clip available, but it would be a problem (a minor one, though) if I had more than one Impact battery.

So besides the plastic clip, this battery is as good as the Nikon one, but cheaper.

This is a good battery, I use it as a backup battery so I have it ready if my first one goes dead while I'm shooting.
