Comments about Crumpler Whickey and Cox Backpack - SLR Camera Outfit, Medium DV Camcorder Kit and 15" Laptop Computer with Accessories (Gun Metal with Grey Accent):
I use this backpack when I'm traveling to other countries or just a local hiking trip in Provincial Parks. I can pack in my favorite Canon 5D camera gears, laptop, and accessories into it and it will still fit the allowable size of carry on luggage. I can remove the laptop compartment and only use it as a light hiking camera backpack when I'm just going on a short hiking weekend trip. The waist and breast straps helps balance the weight so you won't get a sore shoulder easily (not even from a 6 hours hike going up and down 6 cliffs). Both the bag and even the zippers are completely weatherproof!
The best thing I like about this backpack is that it does not look like a camera backpack.
However, it might be a bit tougher if you're trying to fit a Canon 1Ds Mark III or a Nikon D3 into it.
If you're looking for something that you can get your camera gear out within 3 seconds, then this is NOT the backpack for you. My shooting behavior is that when I'm shooting, I don't keep putting it back into the backpack anyway. Also, the zipper is on the inner-side of the backpack (facing your back). This design makes it much tougher for people to steal your stuff when you're in crowded places. This is definitely a "Pros" for me instead of a "Cons".
In terms of weight, this is reasonable (relatively speaking). With the strong construction and the protective paddings, it's normal to have such weight. I don't see it as a "Con", but it's definitely not the lightest backpack on Earth.

Comments about Crumpler Whickey and Cox Backpack - SLR Camera Outfit, Medium DV Camcorder Kit and 15" Laptop Computer with Accessories (Gun Metal with Grey Accent):
I got this bag to hold my camera equipment (body, 3 lenses) and computer supplies, so I didn't need a camera bag and a laptop bag. I can take it to work (business casual environment) and feel comfortable.
It is quite comfortable, looks nice, feels very sturdy, and I feel confident that my equipment is protected.
Reviews I read about "easy access" were mixed. I find it a little difficult to quickly get my camera or laptop out. You pretty much have to open the entire bag, as opposed to just opening the top to slip something out. Also, when unzipped even a little, you can't pick it up by the handle because it's attached to the opening flap as opposed to the body of the bag. I picked it up once by the handle and it all flopped open (nothing fell out though, it's good at keeping your stuff in).
Also, with a laptop in, it's hard to close, and quite heavy.

This bag is great for carrying all your photo equipment, and then some! I was searching for a bag that I could carry my photo equipment, as well as my laptop and this is it! It's a little big for my short 5' 3" statue, but no biggie. It's also a little stiff at first, which makes it a bit annoying to get your camera and gear in and out, but it gives over a little time. I noted that it's hard to access your equipment, but it's all in how you intend to use this bag. My intension was for easy traveling and equipment protection. I would also recommend this bag to anyone who doesn't want it to be obvious they are carrying photo equipment, especially when traveling.

This is a very nice bag, but very bulky. For as big as it is on the outside, it is amazing how quickly I ran out of space on the interior. The laptop pocket is small & there are not many places to store you smaller accessories. I returned this bag and got a Lowe Pro Mini Trekker AW, which I am much happier with. I feel I can fit just as much, if not more in the Mini Trekker, and it is smaller.

Great camera/computer bag. Also can use just as camera, or without camera for great backpack. Only drawback are the side pockets, the opening is somewhat small.

this thing is huge. i know its supposed to carry all your camera gear but its pretty big, but some people might want something that big, so it might not even be a neg comment. its not lightweight when you put your stuff in there. and gets really bulky expecially when you put your laptop in there or even a trip on the back.
overall tho. its a good design. you can fit your laptop and camera stuff. its comfortable. its stylish.
