The Benro C-228 Carbon Fiber Tripod Legs is a high-quality tripod which uses carbon fiber material for its leg construction. Carbon fiber tubing is stronger, lighter and as resistant as traditional type tripods.
The tripod offers many advanced features. Its sliding center column has a grooved design to eliminate unwanted column rotation, and features a locking wing nut to ensure smooth and safe operation. One top leg section features a closed-foam coating to provide better handling in extreme weather.
- Adjustable leg angle stops allow the legs to be set individually at 24°, 55° and 90° to cover every angle you want to shoot.
- The hook on the bottom of the center column provides a place to hang a stabilizing counterweight such as camera, sand or water bags.
- Features a built-in bubble level and compass.
- Fits comfortably on most camera backpacks.

These are obviously a copy of the Gitzo tripods. The makeris supposed to have been a supplier for Gitzo and therecarbon fiber is supposed to be similar. Looking at them sideby side it would be hard to tell them apart. I could notjustify the price of a Gitzo. If you are in the market for alight tripod, this one is going to give you a Carbon Fiberfor the price of an Aluminum one. Will it be as durable as a Gitzo? I doubt it but for closeto a third the price, who cares.

Problems Encountered: The instructions show a spike foot under the rubber tip.The instructions show pulling the tip off of the spike. Ibroke arubber tip off trying to reveal the spike. luckily theyinclude one replacement with the tripod. Apparently they donot include the spike feet on this model.
