The Box-FS Holder for FireStore FS-4 and FS-100 from Bebob Engineering is an under-camera system that allows you to dock your FS-4 or FS-100 DTE securely. The system features a cage design that can be mounted on any tripod. It is also compact enough to remain attached when the camera is handheld. The drawer has a locking mechanism to ensure that your FireStore recorder remains in place during use. This is a great option for under-camera mounting of your DTE.

Comments about Bebob Engineering Box-FS Holder for FireStore FS-4 and FS-100:
I connect a Firestore to my HV20 to speed my production times, and the Bebob Box-FS makes my camera package easily handheld and easily transportable.
The Firestore sits snugly in the box, and is both well protected and easy to access. As with everything from a tripod plate to an XLR adapter, the HV20's battery mount is blocked. I view that as a flaw in the HV20, though.
If you use the manual controls, the Bebob drawer slides out allowing access to the buttons. I use the sync feature (so each time I hit record on the camera, the Firestore records), so this isn't an issue for me.
Overall, I highly recommend this as an addition if you use Firestore. It's a lot more secure and a lot more stable that attaching the hard drive to your hot shoe, and more convenient than belt-mounting the Firestore.

Comments about Bebob Engineering Box-FS Holder for FireStore FS-4 and FS-100:
Great addition to my setup. I was allowed to make fluid shots without having to stop or pause to make adjustments for my Firestore. I thought it would add much more weight than it has but it is actually very light for field shooting.[...]
Comments about Bebob Engineering Box-FS Holder for FireStore FS-4 and FS-100:
Be advised that when the Box-FS is placed under a CanonXL-2, and the slide tray is pulled out, you can see the FS-4display, but you can not manually operate any of the FS-4controls. They are out of reach under the camera body. Ifyou use the camera to operate the FS-4, this may not be anissue. It is enough of an issue for me to only use theBox-FS for my GL2. I will continue to use Firestore's shoemount caddy for the XL-2.Also be advised that you can not screw the Box-FS into atripod plate by hand. You must use a long shank screwdriverinserted through a hole in the Box-FS to secure the setscrew. The set screw is the type with a dime width slot. Anarrow screwdriver must be used with care since the driverblade is not as wide or as long as the screw slot. It can bedone, but done with some care.
Problems Encountered: Mechanically sound and of good build. Attachment to tripodrequires additional tool. Can't access Firestore FS-4controls when this unit is under a Canon XL-2
