The Schneider 40.5mm 1.2 ND MPTV Filter is a solid neutral density filter providing a 4 stop exposure. This 1.2 density creates a darkening of the entire image, allowing you to photograph with a wider aperture or slower frame rate than normally required. By slowing your exposure or increasing your aperture, you are able to control depth of field and convey movement more easily. Neutral density filters do not directly affect the coloration of the image and are ideal for pairing with other filters.
Schneider MPTV filters are diamond-cut from crystal-clear water-white optical glass then ground and polished to a precise flatness and plane-parallelism for high image quality and consistency. They also feature brass filter rings for durability as well as jamming prevention.
