The Cokin Creative Filter System consists of a rectangular plastic filter holder with four slots (one for Cokin rotating filters and three for rectangular ones), a variety of optional adapter rings which click into place and rotate, and many optical resin filters.
There are two Cokin sizes, "A" & "P". The "A" series is adequate for 35mm cameras and camcorders, and fits filter sizes from 36-62mm. The "P" series covers diameters from 48-82mm, and is generally preferred for everything, particularly wide-angle lenses. Over 100 filters and a wide range of accessories are available for each system, i.e. modular lens hoods, lens caps, and storage boxes.

The product is a filter holder & the greatest thing about it is the ability to combine multiple filters to create a multitude of different effects. The product you provided has a firm mount with strong construction which says alot about the quality product that you produce.
One thing I would like to see is for the filter holder to hold more than three filters-four or five would be nice!

Worked great, fit well.
However, at the top of the holder there are two small slots cut into the plastic, passing at least 1/2 way through the total edge- possibly to allow for flex/expansion of the adaptor ring to fit into.
On mine, holder broke through one of these two slots. The plastic is approx 2mm thick, and ONLY about 2mm at the point(6-8mm at surrounding area) where it is thinest.
Kind of asking for a crack to occur.

The 28 page pamphlet is the REAL value with this product. In one place, a concise list (with pictures) of the Cokin Syatem. Would klike to have seen this some time in the past. Great stuff!!

Comments about Cokin "P" Series - Filter Holder, 58mm Adapter Ring and 28-Page Pamphlet:
The system is wonderful. People say the filters have a vignette effect on a full frame. I did not notice on my APS-C camera. I generally use it above 20mm. That may be one of the reason for not noticing it.
The system enables you to use the filters on all your lenses. I have 3 lenses and can use the same filter now. This is the value for money. The 58mm adapter ring fits well on my 70-300mm Sigma lens.

I love it, I can buy one filter and use it on all my lenses. It will end up saving me money, and not load down my camera bag.

Works great for 18mm lens, not sure if it would be good for any wider than that. The pro series would be a better buy for 10mm. Works great, inexpensive, great stuff.

Unless you have this holder you will have to serve as your own filter holder--not very practical. It holds up to four filters at a time. Simple and nice design. I recommend purchasing the lens cap to go with the holder. I ma a big fan of Cokin products--I think they are the best on the market and are the most reasonably priced among the competitors.

I was immediately able to begin using the Cokin fliters I had already purchased. I look forward to using it the future to test it's durability going in and out of my camera bag.

This holder does what it's supposed to. My only criticism is that it rotates too easy. I feel like it's position could be moved in strong winds. The hi tech 85mm GND filter fits perfectly into it.

Comments about Cokin "P" Series - Filter Holder, 58mm Adapter Ring and 28-Page Pamphlet:
It took me a while to figure out how to put it on. I didnt need an adapter ring for my EF-S 18-55mm IS or my EF-50mm f/1.4 USM lenses. I simply screwed it into the UV filter I already had on my lenses and it fit just fine.
I love how the polorizing filter is circular and fits on the filter holder in a fashion in which you can turn the filter w/o turning the holder its self. The rest of the filters slide in.
The only issue I have which isnt even Cokin's fault is that I have to take the filter holder off to get my lens hoods on. Why cant someone invent a lens hood that is also a filter holder?

Comments about Cokin "P" Series - Filter Holder, 58mm Adapter Ring and 28-Page Pamphlet:
Very, very well designed. If you shoot wide angle, get the "P" series holder that takes just one filter, it's designed for wider than 28mm. This kit has the holder (takes up to 3 filters at a time) + a 58mm ring perfect for my Canon 70-300 IS USM. There are dozens of available filters, and with the $15 to $20 adapter rings, you can outfit your ENTIRE lens collection with filters for a few bucks more than buying dedicated filters. I also bought the hood, and the lens cap to round out the kit, plus 9 P series filters to 'get started'.

No need for UV filters. Leave this on each lens and use provided cap or appropriate filter

I'd like to give it 4 1/2 stars, but that doesn't seem to be an option.
I love being able to slide the filters down however far I want (and rotate them, too). The only minus: I do wish there were a few more threads to hold it on.
I'd seen suggestions to hand-hold filters to get this flexibility, but this is much more secure & doesn't cost much.

Holds filters like it's designed to. I could see how some people could break this though. Mine is still solid, and if treated well it will continue to hold my filters for quite awhile.

I bought this so I could use Singh-Ray's Graduated Neutral density filters. It works great, even when I have a circle polarizer filter on under this filter holder it still spins separately so I can set the polarizer and then set the Singh-Ray Filter.

I used the Cokin system on my 35mm Rebel 2000 and was very pleased with it's ease of use. Now I have a point and shoot digital and a Rebel XT and wanted filter holders for them.
