Comments about Impact AVT-12 Wireless Audio/Video Transmitter:
I bought this after spending MORE than this for another similar device from a with NO brand name, from a different. That other device had a very poor signal quality and selecting a station involved a screwdriver turnable knob that was almost impossible to get right on the station. But this AVT-12 is JUST what I was looking for! It has 4 dip-switch selectable, preprogrammed channels, so no turning a screw to set the frequency. It works with my both NTSC (30 frames per second) and PAL (25 frames per second) video signals. It has a range of at least 20 feet. To check farther, I'd need a portable battery powered TV that could take outside my apartment some distance. The only thing I could ask for would be more than 4 channels. But that's just a minor detail compared to how good it is. Definitely 5 out of 5 stars!

I tried using this to connect to a cable box with the idea of being able to broadcast that channel to a portable TV with expandable antenna. It worked, as long as I was within 15-20' of the transmitter. I know there are other units out there which operate on different frequencies, but the point was not having to hang a receiver off of the TV. Sending it back.
