The MidAir from M-Audio is a single channel, wireless MIDI system that features a battery powered transmitter and a USB/AC powered receiver. The receiver can also function as a 1 x 1 stand-alone MIDI interface.
The system allows for wirelessly transmitting data from any device that outputs MIDI data -keyboards, drum machines, electronic drums and more, while triggering any MIDI hardware or software. This can include sound modules to multi-effects units and stage lighting rigs.
In the studio or on stage, as a 2.4 GHz wireless device, the MidAir system functions at distances up to 30 feet with the same feel and response as a wired unit.

Comments about M-Audio MidAir Wireless MIDI System:
Nice idea, but it doesn't work. I wanted to use it for my Yamaha KX5 remote keyboard to free me up from the dangling MIDI cable. This wireless kit doesn't work though. It is so intermitent, that it is useless. I get about 50% of my notes across from my MIDI controller to the sound modules.
