The B+W 77mm Clear MRC 007M Filter is a simple, clear filter designed for general protection for your lens. This optically clear filter does not affect the overall image quality while helping reduce dust, scratches, moisture, and other elements from damaging your lens.
The Multi-Resistant Coating (MRC) is both an anti-reflection coating as well as a protective surface. It helps to increase light transmission by reducing reflections, scattered light, and ghosting. Additionally, it offers greater protection to the filter substrate and stays cleaner for longer than uncoated filters.
B+W filters are constructed from high quality Schott glass for increased optical clarity and color fidelity. They feature a brass filter ring for durability as well as jamming prevention.

Comments about B+W 77mm #007M Protection Clear MRC (Multi-Resistant Coating) Filter:
Having damaged my front element from improper cleaning etc....I now cover it with the B+W MRC Filter. This thing is so clear, I had trouble seeing the glass in the ring. I didn't necessarily want anything between my lens and the subject but I have come to the conclusion that at times it is necessary. I appreciate the craftsmanship and quality that B+W puts into this filter.....like I said, it is clear. VERY CLEAR.

I use this filter to protect my Canon 70-200mm f/2.8 Series II L Lens that I shoot professionally.I shoot weddings, commercial, portraits, sports and do urban explorations as well. I wanted a filter that would service me with no flare, water resistance, and no distortion. This is well worth the money. Plus B&H always has the best prices..~!

I've had several brands of filters, but b+w is a cut above. Right from opening the box you notice the difference. If you spend the money for a high quality lens, consider placing this in front. It protects the lens without adding negative effects like distortion or flare.

Great quality, heavy high quality contruction filter. Glass is very clear and easy to clean. Worth the extra money for the quality. This is the upper range of what I would spend on a UV filter. I use it on my Canon T2i and it's been great so far.

Comments about B+W 77mm #007M Protection Clear MRC (Multi-Resistant Coating) Filter:
I use this on a Canon 24-105mm. Had problems with another makers filter with flare. This one has very very minimal flare in the harshest of conditions (such as overhead halogen lighting). Being a B&W, it's built like a expensive lens. Really happy with it.

B+W has a reputation for making good filters, and this is no exception. This filter has a permanent place on my Canon 70-200 f/2.8. Bottom line - if you have a good lens and want to protect it, go with the best.

I bought this filter to protect my new Canon 24-70 f2.8L and am very pleased with the quality of the product. My images retain their sharpness and the filter is actually easier to maintain than the lens it is protecting. I will purchase this product again with every lens I add to my inventory.

Comments about B+W 77mm #007M Protection Clear MRC (Multi-Resistant Coating) Filter:
Seriously. If you are a professional Journalist buy strong filters. B+W makes the best. There are some people out there who can get away with aluminum frames, but I can't. Every time I've tried to use a less expensive filter, they bind into my lens thread the second I bump it up against body of a Hilux as I'm getting in.
The Glass is strong and well coated as well.
Get B&W filters once and be done.

I went ahead and invested in an awesome lens with my Nikkor 24-70 2.8. Why scrimp on the protective filter, just spend the little extra for the best

Comments about B+W 77mm #007M Protection Clear MRC (Multi-Resistant Coating) Filter:
Got one of these for each and everyone of my pro lenses. After coming close to scratching one of my $1200+ nikon lenses, I decided it was time to get protective lenses for all of my pro grade lenses I own. After doing some research, I decided on the B+W for the quality of glass and the multi-coating they use. I was a little worried that putting a filter on my lens would degrade the pics, but I cannot discern any difference. Now I have a peace of mind and not worry about accidently scratching my lenses.
