B+W 77mm Soft Focus Attachment Soft Pro Glass Diffusion Filter
The B&W 77mm Soft Focus Attachment Soft Pro Glass Diffusion Filter is used to give flattering softness to portraits and landscapes. By using a series of fine-grade "lenticular protrusions", the light is diffused enough to create a slight halo while retaining sharpness. This effect is especially effective when photographing women and even more effective when blond hair is present since it generates highlights off the lighter hair color. This filter is also particularly effective when a dreamy, ethereal look is desired.

My filters are almost exclusively B+W. I have some Tiffen and without a doubt in my opinion the B+W are of higher quality.
This particular filter is great for adding some diffusion to subjects. I use it for portraits and in my art. It works well and there is not a huge compensation necessary as with some other filters.
I would recommend this product in a heartbeat. It adds a nice touch to photos without extra post shooting processing.
As a side note: if you are beginning to get into using filters I recommend that you choose a large size filter (72-77mm) and then buy adapter rings for your lenses. This will minimize your cost and allow for greater flexibility.
