The B+W Snap-On Lens Cap #310 model has two spring-mounted claws at opposite sides which attach to the inside of the filter or lens threads. They work on any lens or front-threaded filter with the filter size that matches the size you see here (77mm in this case). If you have a filter on your lens which has no front threads, you would instead need a B+W #305 model cap.

Comments about B+W #310 77mm Snap-On Lens Cap:
I bought this lens cap to use in Lieu of my Canon 77mm cap on my HD Polarizer.
I felt that the Canon applied to much pressure on its lovely slim lines.
It stays on quite securely and provides protection without the added stress.
This is a nicely made product and works the way I had hoped it would.
Happy!

Comments about B+W #310 77mm Snap-On Lens Cap:
I purchased this cap to go over a Raynox 6600 wide angle lens adaptor in conjunction with a Canon HV40. Many of these caps have problems staying. This one, like all B+W products is well made and works all the time; a secure fit.
