great value-priced tripod. Very steady, like the ball mount and quick release mechanism, but found that it can be pretty wobbly at the quick release when composing shot. The legs are straight and quick to deploy, but found that they can be a bit wobbly due to no reinforcement arms. Best part is it folds up very small and light weight! Small enough to tote on backpack. Suggested bag for this tripod is way too big, almost twice the size! Would reccomend a small size bag. My next mount will be one with reinforced legs and a grip handle for better and more precise movement.

I got this tripod for a trip to Honduras. I didn't have the cash to get the one I wanted, but this had the features I was looking for and the right price. I was shooting a Nikon D300 with an 18-200. The tripod is lightweight and pretty sturdy. The quick release works fairly well. The only problem I ran into was that the quick release latch became loose, and I didn't have an allen wrench to tighten it back up. I could pull the camera off the ball head without undoing the quick release. However, I was able to get it adjusted and tightened and it worked great the rest of the trip. The ballhead tended to take a bit more loosening and tightening than I would have liked. Overall, I was impressed with the tripod for the price. I would recommend this to anyone who doesn't have the funds to get what they want just yet.

Comments about Sunpak 4300 Pro B Tripod with Ballhead:

I use this for when I go hiking. It's lightweight, but I hang my backpack on it, and we're good to go. The quick release is awkward...it seems to stick occasionally. I think it's a great tripod for the price.

Comments about Sunpak 4300 Pro B Tripod with Ballhead:

I bought it very recently and found that the center column is missing the tension adjustment column was missing. I followed up with the manufacturer to find that this is a new design and to be honest, it is better! The center column is steady and firmly holds in it's position. In an otherwise a horrendous trip to Grand canyon and Las Vegas, the pics I took using this tripod in GC, are the only memories that surpassed the value for the money i spent on this. The 3rd leg portion is weak, but not so much to affect the snaps. I recommend this to everyone, especially to those who had to operate on low budget and is still highly passionate about the snaps they grab. It's definitely worth more than it costs! Thanks ToCAD!

Comments about Sunpak 4300 Pro B Tripod with Ballhead:

My digital camera has a 26x zoom and that meant I needed a tripod to be able to hold it steady for those long shots. I wanted something light-weight, but with enough height that I didn't have to stoop to use it and I decided the ball head was just too much of an improvement over my old tripod's system to pass up. I love the quick release feature and that it comes with two mounting brackets. I use the second one for my binoculars. Even with the great height I can lower the tripod within a few inches of the ground for those macro shots I periodically take of the flora. [...]

Comments about Sunpak 4300 Pro B Tripod with Ballhead:

This the second one I bought in 4 years. I travel a lot and used the first one heavily. With the ballhead off, it is about 18" tall and I can put it inside my backback instead of strapping on outside and drawing people's attention when traveling (in those infamous foreign areas).

It is sturdy and stable enough for my Canon Rebel level DSLR and a 18-270 zoom, even for taking the night shots.

In my opinion, it is a good choice at a good price.

I can't get it as close to the ground as I would like, but that's the only problem I've had with it.

This seems like an ok tripod the ballhead works pretty good i haven't noticed any creep. However the legs are much more of a lighweight construction than I thought they would be and are a little flimsey it should be great for a small point and shoot or dslr with a small lens but if you are planning on putting a large zoom on this I would try a different tripod I am going to give this one to my wife for her small camcorder and get myself a manfrotto soon

Just went on a hiking trip to Yosemite and strapped this light weight tripod on my pack. My girlfriend used the same set up as me and neither of us had problem with the size or weight of the tripod. Components feel well made, with the majority of the tripod being aluminum. The ball head made adjustments very easy. Overall the tripod felt very stable, although I probably could have added some more weight to the center hook for some of my longer exposure images, since I ended up with a few blurry photos even though I was using a remote. If you are looking for a solid light weight tripod that is not going to break the bank I would highly recommend this product.

I went on vacation and took this tripod with me on two 5 mile hikes. It is lightweight which made it easy but is also seems durable. I LOVE the swivel ball head it has!! It makes it very easy to move my camera around while it is on there. The quick release was great also! Took only a matter of seconds to put my camera on the tripod when I was ready to use it.

Comments about Sunpak 4300 Pro B Tripod with Ballhead:

This is a nice lightweight tripod. Creates a nice stable platform for long time exposures and the legs can adjust to about any terrain there is. Why spend a ton of money on a fancy looking tripod when you can get a lower cost one that works great? And you can use the saved money on gas to go somewhere to go take photos.

The overall built quality is very good. It's x100 better than those cheap ones. And, it looks professional. The ballhead is made of metal so it's a bit heavy, but it's easy to use. I've used it with my Nikon D40 + 55-200mm lense. It's strong enough to hold my camera steady, even when all the legs are extended. Didn't get a chance to compare with those tripods over $100 but this is good enough for me. Definitely worth the price. The only thing I'm not satisfied is that the ballhead could not be adjusted independently in the horizontal plane. You need to rotate the central pole if you want to do so. However, those ballheads that have this function could cost more than this entire tripod.

I bought this online while deployed to Afghanistan. I didn't want to bring my expensive, heavy carbon fiber tripod and professional ballhead. This tripod comes with a ball head that supports my Canon 5D with 100mm lens just fine. The lower center column is removable to allow for ground level shooting. Fits in my backpack. Perfect travel tripod!

great value-priced tripod.
