This Epic Pro HD mechanical housing is for the Sony HDR-FX1 and Panasonic AG-HVX200 HD camcorders. The housing is designed for use in or near the water. The housing is recommended for snorkeling, surfing, boating, shallow diving, and other situations where your camera could come into contact with water.
The housing is not intended for deep scuba diving. Since the Pro HD housing is lightweight but rugged, it is ideal for photographing surfing and other water sports when you need to be in the water, but at the surface.

[...]. Price was good but No zoom control, No viewing space for filming at the at back of housing. Your Splash back wood have been a far better buy. Regards. Gustav

I love how easy this is to use. Unlike the other review, I read my owner manual before I put my camera in the housing. I have been using this housing for a while now and have gone 20 feet down in the ocean and it works amazingly. It has all the basic controls pause and record. The manual states that I turn off the auto focus and use manual focus so that I will get the best shots of marine life far away and up close. I have also put my remote control in a water proof cell phone bag and attached it to my housings so that I can use all the functions of my remote through the housing so I can get the best shot.

I have two of these and they are ok if your on a budget. Tips I've learned turn your auto focus off or it will track any water drips on your lens. Also don't forget to dip the camera in the water every once in a while to rinse the lens or you get a lot of junk on the lens. I'm glad I bought it but it is missing a few things on the controls as well. It also floats a lot so diving with it I don't think would work unless you have weights. I use it for filming kitesurfing which is all above the water.
