The Snap Sights SS02 underwater camera is a simple 35mm camera in a clear case that allows you to take snapshots as you explore the ocean world both above and below the surface. This easy to use camera is very rugged. For pictures on land, the camera's outdoor housing provides protection from rain, moisture, sand and other extreme environments.
The SS02 camera features a pressure-resistant shutter button, one way clutch on the wind knob and it also floats. There is also a built in flip-up sports finder for easy framing while wearing a mask. The camera is operational to a depth of 100' (33 m).

Comments about Snap Sights SS02 Underwater Camera:
i took this in the ocean on a day with 8-10ft. waves with just my swimfins to take pictures of surfers/waves. granted i was shooting 4 stops over and planning on pulling 2 stops (on ilford hp5), shots came out looking like they were taken on a disposable camera. no big surprise, but i was hoping for some more detail. camera did stay dry. also i think the viewfinder only covers maybe 80 percent of frame.

Comments about Snap Sights SS02 Underwater Camera:
The price u can't complain about but the product broke after the first roll of film. The film quit winding and I couldn't load the new roll.

Comments about Snap Sights SS02 Underwater Camera:
I picked this up at a shop while in Hawaii before a snorkeling trip in 2009 and have been using it since. Its easy to use and has an approximate viewfinder that helps compose shots. Its great in or out of water.
I used a slide film for shots on and around the beach and they came out beautifully. Under-water I used a standard fuji color film and those worked well.
My only complaint is that it is difficult to read the number of photos taken while out and about, but this is so minor I even hesitated to mention it.

Comments about Snap Sights SS02 Underwater Camera:
I used one of the cameras to take some pictures in the surf. Getting close up without having to drag a camera with lens in the water was a plus. I E mailed pictures to several of my friends who were in the pictures. The comments ranged from "Good photos" to "How did you get that shot of me. I'll be using the other camera on a surf trip next month, and expect to have similar results. The price beats the cost of all others I have seen without sacrificing it's usefulness.
Thanks,
John K.

Comments about Snap Sights SS02 Underwater Camera:
I took this camera white water rafting and it was great. I could quickly snap pix and advance the film so my hands wouldn't be off my paddles too long.
it's re-usable which is the best part as it cost about the same as a single use disposable.
the only downside is a lack of lens cap to keep the lens cover from scratching during transport or rough conditions.
