Panasonic WV-NF284 I-Pro Network Color Dome Camera with Microphone, 3.6x Vari-Focal Lens, MPEG-4, MJPEG and PoE - AC/DC

The Panasonic WV-NF284 is a compact and stylish network dome camera that supports simultaneous MPEG-4 and MJPEG streaming, allowing a user to view live images in the fast MPEG-4 format while recording is taking place in the high resolution motion JPEG format. In either mode, this camera supports VGA image sizes at speeds up to 30 FPS.

Camera viewing and control can be accessed from any remote Internet PC, with a client able to view up to 8 cameras in 2 groups of 4 moving images on one screen or all 8 cameras on one static screen. Recorded images can be sent to any hard drive on the network or to a Panasonic i-Pro Series Network Disk Recorder for better video management. In the event of a network failure, this camera will store images to an optional SD Memory card, which will automatically transfer to the recorder once the network is restored. For further fail-safe operation, this camera features PoE, which uses the regular LAN cable to power the camera in the event of a power failure.

Recording does not have to be continuous but can be regulated to start at a date and time or when triggered by its internal motion detector. This saves valuable hard drive space and network resources and also makes it fast and easy to locate a particular piece of footage.

A digital zoom function supports up to 3x image magnification while a built-in microphone provides audio along with video monitoring. A 3-axis hinge system allows the camera inside the dome to be easily adjusted to point in any desired direction. An NTSC monitor out connector allows service personnel to make quick on-site camera and lens adjustments.
