Comments about Logitech Premium Notebook Headset - Analog/USB:
This is a reasonably priced item that works very well. I bought it just for the microphone to use for dictation with Windows 7 speech recognition. The microphone worked surprisingly well.
Since the microphone came with the earphones as a frolic I thought I would use the earphones to listen to some of the music on my computer. I was stunned because the result was beautiful. The earphones enable you to hear the music with a clarity far superior to what you hear when you just use the speakers on the computer.

Comments about Logitech Premium Notebook Headset - Analog/USB:
I use this headset for Skype primarily, which it is adequate for. The sound through the headphones is decent, but not high quality - you would be much better served with Sennheisser headphones at twice the price.
The microphone is convenient, but the sound isn't any better than the built-in mic on my Macbook Pro. In fact, I had one person tell me that it sounds worse, more tinny! This is the most disappointing aspect of this product. I am happy to be more hands free and the headset allows me to type during Skype conference calls, which is certainly a bonus. However, if I had known about the mediocre quality of the mic, I probably would have just purchased something cheaper.

Comments about Logitech Premium Notebook Headset - Analog/USB:
I bought these in order to have a high quality headphone and microphone setup.I have found the headphone performance to be below par compared to other Logitech headphones I own (I did my own immediate comparison, and was clearly able to hear the difference)
However the microphone performance is excellent, especially when used with the USB adapter,it seems to have been optimised for this interface.
I tried the separate 3.5mm plugs individually on the headphone/microphone inputs on my computer but the hardware was not recognized, I then switched to the included USB adapter,it was plain sailing

Great headset, works as a USB headset or traditional two mini plug analogue. Nice case included. Great deal!
