Don't get me wrong I love this charger and the SL-50 batteries that go with it are an awesome package. But when you're first charging them they take a bit longer to charge than many users admit- either that or mine were the only ones. But be patient on that first charge and you'll get plenty use.

The basic battery for the JVC gyhd100u is short on life, this package, while cheaper then more expensive battery systems that offer extended power, is good for a tighter budget, but still offers a good solution for field shooting, about 2 hr or so per battery, and you get two. Buy more is about $50 each. Installation was easy with no problems and the batterys were fully charger when they arrived.
