Series 7 S7-XLHL Battery Adapter Plate - for Canon XL-1, XL-1S, XL-2 and XL-H1
The Series 7 S7-XLHL is an adapter plate for Canon XL-1, XL-1S, XL-2 and XL-H1. This adapter plate allows the previously mentioned camcorders to use the Series 7 battery system. This plate attaches to the camcorder via the battery mount allowing a Series 7 SL-50 to power the camcorder.

I use this adapter to be able to use the battery on my XL-2. I like the idea of having an adapter to be able to attach the batters to different cameras.
