The CH-3 Hood for ColorEdge CE-210W and CE-240W Widescreen LCD Monitors from Eizo is an anti-glare hood that is designed to help increase screen color consistency. The hood attaches to the ColorEdge monitor in order to shield the screen from light from above. It even features a sliding plate that retracts to allow a photo sensor to be attached to the monitor. This is a great option for owners of a ColorEdge LCD.

Comments about Eizo CH-3 Hood for ColorEdge CE-210W and CE-240W Widescreen LCDs (Black):
I needed to be able to accurately scan and print images from color slides. I use a Solux lamp to simulate daylight when comparing prints from my Epson 3800 printer to the image on my Eizo CE210 monitor. This hood blocks the light from the Solux lamp from shining on the monitor thereby allowing for the comparison. Although expensive it is well designed and well made. The sliding opening on the top allows for easy monitor calibration using a Spyder3 Elite.

Comments about Eizo CH-3 Hood for ColorEdge CE-210W and CE-240W Widescreen LCDs (Black):
The CH-3 Hood is very well made, fits like a glove and does what it's supposed to, namely, shield your monitor from stray overhead and sidelight. I wanted to maximize my calibrations and corrections. Honestly, I can't say whether it has made a signicant difference. It does look totally "pro" and impressive to clients. I like that it blocks the light from my second monitor which I have always turned off when making critical decisions. I also like that it restricts others from viewing your work unless they are literally over your shoulder. The only real downside is the price which seems exhorbitant for four pieces of snap together black plastic. If you can control the lighting in your workspace you can probably do fine without it. If you are seeking to eliminate all variables and can afford it ... go for it!
