I have made much of my furniture from [@]... I am no engineer but certainly not a novice either. This was by far the worst in terms of assembly. The directions were sparse and unclear. A good product should not make the assembler feel like he is going to break the item. It took a while searching for the listed 8 screws before I realized the screws were being used in a partially assembled product. Popping the wheels into the stand was so difficult, in the end, I felt like I was going to break the product. Sliding the adjustable platform divet into the mainframe was a nightmare. I had to unscrew the preassembled table before realizing that the knob had to be turned at a certain angle before it could slide in (with a great effort) For the price, it should be easier to assemble. the final product was only slightly better than the average laptop stand. VERY disappointed would be an understatement of my opinion of this product.

Rock Solid ! We use this stand in the Family Room for my wife's laptop.After using a 3 legged stand that was knocked over twice with the laptop on it (hard drive had to be replaced) and also wobbled when bumped into I purchased the Lapmatic and is worth every penny. This stand will not go anywhere unless you want it to and is designed for comfortable and easy computing..B&H offered and good price and [...] !

I cannot think of anything negative with this laptop stand/desk. It was easy to assemble, and the design is perfect. The stability was one concern when I was looking at all the stands available. This one is very stable and easy to roll around. Also it is designed to slide in very close and not interfere with your legs, yet remain totally stable. The pneumatic lift is very important to me, and works perfectly. No need to search further, this stand has it all!
