This Lastolite Vinyl Train is an accessory for the HiLite background. It provides a white surface to cover the floor and allows for full-length photographs. It is made of vinyl, which makes it easy to remove shoe scuffs and tracked footprints if they occur.

I bought the HiLite first and used it alone for a few shoots, but it is limiting not to have the train. In fact, I almost think they should come together. It attaches very easily. I roll it up in between shoots (we do not have a ton of shooting space since we do most of our work outdoors). The only thing I don't love, which should be obvious and cannot be fixed, is that the look is NOT seamless when you have a light inside your HiLite. But, that can easily be smoothed over in PhotoShop.

Lastolite never ceases to amaze how much money they charge for cheap products. This is basicly piece of white vinyl. Mine looks like it was cut by someone manually with scissors as it's not completley straight on any side.
There are two strips of velco sewn onto two ends, but even that is really cheap as the thread on mine is already coming out in many places and mine is BRAND NEW and used once.
Why Lastolite can never include any directions with any of their products too i'll never know, although at least this is seemingly pretty self explanitory.
You'll need to buy some kind of case for this too if you plan on making it portable as it comes with nothing.
...but if you're looking for a few feet of white vinyl, this is your product!

Integrates well with backdrop. As everyone says it need cleanup in Photoshop or Lightroom, even if you light it. Pretty quick process to touch up like 30 seconds or less per image.

Why do people CHARGE so much for this stuff....? Highly over priced .... and yes it does somewhat work... It kind of hard to take the scratches and scuff marks off! (My biggest complaint!) Making the floor pure white without blowing out the subject is no easy task. Other than that... just an over priced piece of vinyl....

Nice to have a reusable train that you can wipe clean. Minor retouching needed at the join, but other that that, great to use with the HiLite backdrop. so much easier than carrying a 3m roll of paper around.

Overpriced IMO. But it does work. It can be challenging to get some scuff marks off, and some wont! Seems I still need to figure out how to make the floor pure white with the background without blowing out the subject as well. Even with strobes on both sides it still wont go white without overexposing some. Not to hard to fix in photoshop though...Have not had any trouble with the velcro.

I just think that this is one of the coolest backdrop and train I have ever seen. You can do so much with them...I have had so much fun since I ordered them. The only problem that I have is the velcro on my train seems very week, so slight movements detach it.
