The Black ADC is a analog to digital converter module and part of Audient's Black Series modular system. The unit utilizes high performance AKM IC technology to provide 24-bit/ 192kHz conversion. Care was taken when designing the Black ADC to mitigate any problems that are inherent in a compact design.
The rear panel houses the analog inputs, an AES/EBU output and a BNC Wordclock input. Outputs on the front panel include S/PDIF, TOSLink and a second AES/EBU output. The module can be used as a stand alone converter for external devices, as well as for the analog modules within the rack system, with the ability to have up to four modules installed.
