I had this cleaning cassette in my camcorder bags for several years, but recently switched to Panasonic cleaners. Is your miniDV image in mosaic playback? Dirty heads icon in your cam monitor? Play for 10 seconds and it should do the job. As this dry cleaner is abrasive, don't overdo it. To be honest, my Panasonic Mini DV cams like the less expensive cleaners better. Panny cam may actually like their own brand better. If you have a JVC cam, it may be just what the doctor ordered. Might be best to buy cleaner brand that matches your cam brand.

I have a JVC miniDV camcorder that would not playback tapes. Instead, a message appeared on the screen to clean the heads. I purchased the JVC Mini DV Cleaning Tape and played it through the camcorder one time. It took care of the problem immediately and I am able to play tapes once again.
