The Xmidi 1x1 from E-MU is a compact USB MIDI interface with a single, ultra-fast MIDI input and output (16 MIDI channels in/out.) The interface is presented in a convenient cable style housing.
The unit features bus-powered operation for total portability and provides status indicators for each MIDI input and output. A pouch is included for added protection of the interface while travelling.

It's hard to find anything good or bad to say about this. It's a little 1x1 MIDI-USB interface, and it works just fine. I use it either to hook up an Axe-Fx Ultra or a Roland TD-4S to an iMac running OS 10.6. It works just fine for whatever programs I'm running, too. It works, and that's what it's supposed to do.

I use the interface to connect my mac to a Yamaha keyboard. As long as you make sure to connect the cabled labeled midi in to the midi out outlet on the keyboard and the midi out cable to the midi in outlet then you should have no trouble. My mac recognized the keyboard right away and I use it with garageband.

I used this to hook up an old midi keyboard to GarageBand. It worked right away without any special setup. Only con is that it's hard to focus on schoolwork now :) .

I have an Alesis QS6.2 MIDI keyboard, and didn't want to invest in an expensive audio interface. This handy little device allows me to use my current sound card and plug in using a USB slot. Easy to install - just make sure to watch where you plug in (the MIDI In on the cable goes to the Midi Out on your device).
