Unfortunately this DVD is not oriented to the new user, I have failed to see the direction of thoughts in the presentation. Though I consider myself to be a reasonably knowledgeable individual and with some experience in teaching digital photography, I found the DVD of little help in teaching others to uses their D80.

This DVD is a great introduction to the D80, teaching the basic information on the camera's features in an easy-to-understand format. I highly recommend the Nikon D80 Digital Field Guide by David Busch (Wiley Publications) as a companion to the DVD. The two together provide all you'll need to the how's and why's of using the D80.

This DVD is one of the best DVDs for the Nikon D80, but that isn't saying much. It covers the basics, and has a good organization system for when you want to return to the information later. They manage to fit quite a bit of information into the two hours, but overall I would recommend getting the D80 Digital Field Guide. It has much more information, and if you are new to digital photography, it will take you further down the road.
