JVC's BN-VF815 is an original equipment replacement battery for many JVC camcorders. Its lithium-ion design makes it immune from the "memory" effect that once plagued many rechargeable batteries. You can charge this battery whenever you like without compromising its performance. Each charge will power your camcorder for up to 3 hours.

The battery by default in the JVC camera does not last very long, this one works very good at a reasonable price. Very recommended!!

Works well, sometimes a little bulky in the back of the camera. I would not get the next size up.

Much better than the "stock" battery, that comes with the camera, and gives you a lot more time to shoot. Does what it should, and charges fairly quickly, too.

Comments about JVC BN-VF815 Lithium-Ion Battery Pack - 7.2V, 1460mAh:
Not bad for doubling the recording time of my JVC GZ-M330 camcorder. The battery is about twice as big as the standard one, so it makes the camera a bit bulky but it's not a big deal. It does take a while to charge.

This is not a substitute with a work-around, hang in your face, pigtail connection to fool the camera into thinking it is connected to the original equipment JVC power adapter.

I took this battery on my vacation. I took lots of videos and still photos with power to spare. It is a little bit heavier and bulkier than the battery that came with the camcorder, but still is not obtrusive nor uncomfortable.

I use this for my JVC Everio HD7, and it works just fine. The lifespan isn't bad, but it's not amazing either. Overall, a good, but not great, battery.

Comments about JVC BN-VF815 Lithium-Ion Battery Pack - 7.2V, 1460mAh:
What can I say, it's a battery. In general, I like to stick with OEM batteries whenever they have "power meter" features, as is the case with this JVC and with Sony batteries. The cost can be a shock, however.
