Sigma 2x EX DG APO Teleconverter
The Sigma 2x EX DG APO Tele Converter (also known as a tele-extender) will multiply the focal length of the existing lens by 2x, and will cut back the amount of light by 2 f/stops. For example, using a 2x teleconverter with a 300mm lens will effectively increase the focal length to 600mm. A lens set to f/2.8 will now be f/5.6.
Note: Sigma APO Tele Converter 1.4x and 2x are dedicated teleconverter lenses. Due to the high optical quality of this teleconverter, this item will only fit and work with a select list of lenses. Please click here for a compatibility chart of all compatible lenses.
- The DG denotes added coatings that achieve the best color balance while also cutting down on ghosting caused by reflections from the digital image sensor.

TRIED THIS ON MY PENTAX K-5 WITH MY SIGMA 70-200 and SIGMA 120-400....AF NOT AVAILABLE ON EITHER LENS. Was never able to get an image I felt was sharp.

Does not auto focus with the Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 II EX DG APO Macro HSM AF Lens for Pentax even tho it is listed as working with it. I have not called about this yet as autofocus isn't a big consideration.

Recommendable to extend the yield of the primary objective when it is not had a ampler focal length, a little light is lost but it is worth the pain.
It is important before acquiring to see it if one adjusts with your objective, does not adjust to all the optical.

#1 Did not lock to Sigma 70-200mm F2.8 DX II HSM lens
#2 The HSM did not work and I had to manual focus it. Had to return it hoping that Sigma will relies an HSM version soon.

Could not use.
Would not work with my new Sigma 70-200mm F2.8 DX II HSM lens on my Pentax K10D. Very dissappointed especially to the fact that this is not a well advertised or know fact.
Had to return and hope someday Sigma accomodates this issue to apease us Pentaxians. Gotta love being a minority. So much for converting a very good 70-200mm f2.8 lens.

Used on the 'Bigma' this TC of course kills AF, but tracking birds and manually focusing wasn't as difficult as I was expecting.
And while it does cause some softening of the image this is slight- I could still make out fine detail in a robin's feathers.
