I use this tripod for my EOS 7D. It is very sturdy and holds the camera firmly. The only downside to this tripod is the weight. Slightly heavy when carrying around. For the money, you can't beat this set up though.

I have a D60 with an Tamron 18-270, so the setup is not light, but not super heavy either. There is no creep at all. The legs stay where they are put and the overall design of the head is nice also.

I was looking for a great solid tripod that would last me a long while. I have had this tripod for about a year now and it is still going strong. I was looking for something compact and light but sturdy. This isn't the most compact tripod (I cant fit it in my backpack) but I have seen ones that are far bigger, less sturdy, and heavy as heck. I think this is the best bang for the buck.

i know what your thinking. i could buy a similar product for cheaper, but have the feeling of regret later. quality has its price, and so does satisfaction.
this tripod and ballhead was recommended in a book by scott kelby, and after using i know why. simple to use doesnt feel flimsy like friends modestly priced tripod.
