This product is false advertising. It is not a 2X lens at all and more like a 1.2X lens. When used with the cx550v at full wide there is vignetting showing the inside of this cheap lens. What a waste of money. Wish I had returned it.

Comments about Impact DVS-TP20-37 37mm 2.0x High-grade Telephoto Conversion Lens:
I gave this three stars only because of the price. It was quite affordable, and will help pull in distant subjects a little. It's pretty much useless when zoomed out, though, because you see (quite dramatically!) the tube that is the lens (i.e. like shooting through a tube). But, for the price, it's okay to have in your camera bag. I purchased it for my Canon HF-10 for occasional use, and to have in conjunction with the wide angle Canon lens that I already own. This lens doesn't compare at all in terms of quality with the Canon lens. But, as I've said, it's cheap, and it's alright to have on hand. Construction-wise, it seems okay.

Comments about Impact DVS-TP20-37 37mm 2.0x High-grade Telephoto Conversion Lens:
It gives me the extra zip to get just a bit closer to the subject. You do have to be careful when you zoom out, because you begin to see the side of the lens and at full wide angle it look like you looking through a tube. But, I didn't buy it for wide angle shots, I bought it for extreme closeups from a distance.

Comments about Impact DVS-TP20-37 37mm 2.0x High-grade Telephoto Conversion Lens:
I use the lens on a Sony TRV 18 to get more detail and light n a large room. The picture quality improves an incredible amount and makes a small camera shoot good quality video.
It is easy to mount and includes three step-up rings. It has it's own lens caps and a very nice bag to store it in.
The one problem I found is on a wide shot, the front of the lens adapter comes into the picture.
Overall, I wish I would have discovered the lens adapter sooner.

Comments about Impact DVS-TP20-37 37mm 2.0x High-grade Telephoto Conversion Lens:
I use this lens quite often to catch a wider view of things. Much wider than the .50 Wide angle, is the .37 SUPER wide angle Fisheye.
Pros: Well built, all glass lenses.
Cons: I'm fairly new to this field, but the Fisheye lens captures little halo's or bars of light if there is a lot of reflection in the shot. I'm not sure if this is common with FishEye lenses or not. I use this Super Wide angle fisheye, more than I use the .50 Wide angle or the x2 telephoto lens. So far its been great- had it about 4 weeks.
