Zeiss' 10x42 Victory T* FL binocular, available in two colors, is the epitome of optical excellence. From any measurement of greatness it succeeds admirably, a tool bereft of weakness which becomes so intuitive with use as functionally to disappear from the user's mindset. This should be the goal of any binocular-to be the invisible conduit to great viewing of the subject.
The optics within the 10x42 Victory T* FL binocular were created with 'elements of abnormal partial dispersion', a chunk of gobbledygook easily translated to an observer as the theoretical limit of razor-sharp imagery free of color shift or chromatic aberration, the dreaded bane of bargain binoculars. When focusing on a flat subject, the image is as sharp at the edges of the enormous viewing field as it is at the center. The broad focusing range goes from end to end in just a single rotation of the center focus dial, which also houses the dioptric correction.
The 10x42 Victory T* FL, like all ultra-premium European crafted binoculars, is not for the frugally minded. It is instead a product intentionally designed to deliver awe-inspiring optical and mechanical brilliance. For many, the anticipated lifelong performance from such a device quickly amortizes its high initial investment.

Comments about Zeiss 10x42 Victory T* FL Binocular (Black):
I use the product for birding, general sightseeing.
I tried the equivalent Leica Swarovski. I found the Zeiss the most contrasty image. I also liked the focus feel the best.
On something this expensive maybe try all 3 if you have the ability (I had a local Swarovsky store and bought the Leica with return privileges)to see how they compare with your eyes. For me, as I said above, the Zeiss was the winner.

Comments about Zeiss 10x42 Victory T* FL Binocular (Black):
A lot of praise for Zeiss for delivering such a wonderful optic and such light weight. I have compared these to my Leica 10x42 and Swarovski 10x42 and they are preferred in every way to both.
Optically all three are brilliant, however the Zeiss is not only brighter than the three, but also seems steadier to hold.
The Lotutec coating works a dream. Water just runs off this thing, I am amazed.
Also the close focus on these are brilliant.
The only real negative thing i have to say about this unit and any high quality glasses is the PRICE...ouch.
nevertheless you get what you pay for ...HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!!!!

Comments about Zeiss 10x42 Victory T* FL Binocular (Black):
What really has to be said about these great glasses? Obviously they are top of the line in every way. They are so stunningly bright and sharp that they are a complete and utter joy to use, as they should be considering their high cost. Eyeglass wearers will appreciate the eye relief and the weight is very manageable.
I own the Zeiss 8x32 Victory FLs also and wanted the increased magnification that the 10x42 offers. I'm thrilled with these. Terrific for birding, boating, hiking, hunting or virtually anything else. I might be tempted to carry my 8x32s or my pocket Zeiss 8x20s to a sporting event or concert though just because of the size factor.
