Comments about Samsung S1050 Digital Camera (Black):
This model is no better, but more importantly, no worse than any other 10-Mp point-and-shoot. Good results within its limitations--use good light, stick to ISO 200 or less, don't try to use it for action shots, keep it steady and don't use the ISO-boosting "image stabilization". As reported elsewhere, it eats alkaline batteries alive, but I've had normal battery life with high-Mah NiMh rechargeables. The lens is pretty sharp and I use the whole 5x, although the 38mm equivalent on the low end is not very wide.
Shutter lag seems longer than, say, our Canon G6, and occasional flash-charging lag is annoying.
The best feature IMO is a terrific macro capability. You can literally have the end of the lens barrel resting on part of the subject.
