I bought it to replace the use of a mouse at the office. I started to have a strange pain in the shoulder and every back and forth between keyboard and mouse was painful.
I also replaced my keyboard with the Microsoft Natural Keyboard Elite. I glued the touchpad on the palm rest of the keyboard and I no longer need to lift my hands from the rest pad while tapping or using the touchpad.
The combination Microsoft keyboard elite + this touchpad is just perfect for me - having both for 2 weeks now!!!
The only complain I have is that the software of the Glidepoint doesn't work with my Windows 7. I tried everything and when the Adesso tech support answered "it does that from time to time on Win7" I understood that that I have to stop hopping to make it work.
The glidepoint works just grate with no drivers but only the vertical scroll is available. You can adjust the sensitivity through the windows mouse settings.
I don't really miss any extra functions from the unstable driver, it's just a little frustrating.
Beware I tried first the nice-looking Tru-Form Pro Contoured Ergonomic Keyboard with Built-In Touchpad and Hot Keys from Adesso. The keyboard arrived dead. After reading some on-line reviews I understood that I'm not an exception.

My nephew says that the Glidepoint Touchpad is easy to use, because of the newer smaller size he has to pick up the device to use it since he does not use a desk like the rest of us. The first Glidepoint Touchpad that we used was much larger and he did not have to pick it up in order to stabilize the unit while using it. I was a little taken back myself when I opened up the package and saw how small the unit was.

I have polyneropathy. My hands have very little feeling. It is hard for me to use a mouse. This touchpad allows me to perform cursor manipulation equal to a mouse. One partulicar feature, double-click pad area, provides this pad equal operation to that of a mouse.
Windows XP allowed immediate connection.

touchpad sensing and scrolls are good.
But it's little bit small and sometimes it's moving when I dragging or scrolling on the touch pad..
