Full size keyboard wouldn't fit on my desk, but I needed all the regular keys. This keyboard was the perfect solution (and fit), and having the touchpad allowed me to get rid of my mouse as well. Opted for the wireless version for even more mobility and has exceptional range. The touchpad can be a little oversensitive at times; wish there was a way to adjust that but I can also just remember to keep my thumbs out of the way when I type. Just got it so can't attest to durablity. It does feel a little plasticy, but so far has been everything I hoped for. Great deal for the money.

I'm a self-employed computer tech so you might guess I have no shortages of computers. I bought this keyboard to use with a desktop PC which is attached to a 47" HD LCD TV via VGA cable in our living room. My 5-star rating is a reflection of value, functioning, and my own expectations.
This Adesso keyboard is perfect for my living room setup and is exactly what I expected. It's light, has a built-in touchpad, and it works. There are no drivers to install with Vista or 7.
Some might say the keys have a "cheap" feel. I do not sense a cheapness to this unit - the keys work fine but have a lighter action than the keys on my laptops. The touchpad lacks the "finesse" and customizations (no driver software) that my HP laptops have but it does work with no glitches. There is even a vertical scrolling strip in the side. And again - it works.
Because of the unit's light weight, I think that it will survive a drop on the carpet fine. Light does not equal cheap - in fact lightweight can help a device like this survive abuses.
Radio range: My PC is in a shelf under the TV. I initially had the keyboard's USB receiver in a rear USB port, but I found this location affected the range when I was farther than 15' away. Could be from interference from the PC, satellite receiver or TV. After I moved the dongle to a front USB port, there were no range issues anywhere in the room. I have since connected a USB extension cable to a rear port so I can place the keyboard receiver where I want.
Although adequate, I probably wouldn't use this to replace a desktop keyboard at a workstation. But as a lightweight remote keyboard to be used while placed on someone's lap, it is wonderful.
Number-lock is enabled so be sure and disable the number-lock function in the computer's BIOS/Setup area.
I consider this keyboard a good purchase with no regrets whatsoever.

I bought this keyboard to use with my laptop when it's connected to our big screen tv. Unlike our remote control this keyboard still works with things in the way like the couch pillows, etc. Touch pad is only weak spot - it is a little jumpy.

Keyboard works well, good range, performs almost exactly like a laptop keyboard. Great for medical presentations with a desktop computer and LCD projector. Only problem is Num Lock key has a nearly invisible label as do the alternative number labels on the number pad keys. Can't see any of them. This is a big problem if number lock is on and users won't know it and will wonder why they can't log in. If you use one of these with a desktop computer, make sure NumLk is off by default in BIOS and for new users.

I use this in a small (20'x20') conference room to control a computer/video projector system. The keyboard looks great, is small and works anywhere in the room. Delete key and others are in strange locations compared to a full size keyboard, but for web browsing, running a photo slide show or power point presentation, this keyboard is great.

Have only had it 24hrs so maybe a bit early to write a proper review, but thought I would add my 2cents for the time being.
Was easy to install, just plug the RF receiver into a USB port and press the sync button on the bottom of the keyboard for 1 second. That's IT!
Touch pad works fine. I like the separate ON/OFF switch so that I can turn it off when I am not using it (like when watching a video).
Have had some problems with dropped key strokes and dodgey touchpad behaviour, but I suspect that is because I am also using a Wireless router and Wireless speaker system in the same room.
All in all it does the job satisfactorily.
