I bought this to transfer my college notes to word, and it works to a point. Handwriting translation software is getting tons better but needs some refinement. As a remote tablet device hooked up to the computer this is really cool for the money, plus the Photoshop software is really a bonus. Get it if your a gadget geek, skip it if your not.

I have had this product for two weeks and I use it solely for its OCR capabilities. It has been 98% accurate in translation so I no longer have to retype the notes I write for my college courses. As an author who will only write on paper, it has saved alot of time in retyping as well. I like it because it uses regular paper and ink refills so it is worth spending the extra money on up front. The only things I would change is that you could download and view more than one "page" of writing at a time. I also would like if it could convert with OCR directly to word rather than the proprietary software program (it may but I haven't figured out how to yet). Cutting and pasting isn't difficult, though.

Even the tech support people couldn't get this to work.
There are lots of other choices out there for a digital notepad...so save your money and your sanity and pick one of them.

Comments about Adesso CyberPad Digital Notepad with Adobe Photoshop Elements 7.0:
I write everything on a notepad throughout the business day. CyberPad makes it a lot easier to find information that was written down months or years ago, than it is to search through old notepads. Also takes less storage space than months or years of old notepads. And since the documents are stored on my laptop, I essentially have all of my old notes with me when I travel.
