Furthermore, the camera contains 38 Best Shot scene modes making shooting in difficult situations as simple as pressing a button, and the unique eBay means that users can more quickly and easily create photos for selling items on eBay.

Beautifully Designed Aluminum Casing
The Compact Casio EX-Z1050 is constructed of durable yet lightweight aluminum, making the camera a pleasure to carry around.
10.1 Megapixels Resolution
The Exilim EX-Z1050 produces images with an incredible 10.1 megapixels of resolution, providing incredibly sharp and detailed images even when printed to poster sizes.
3x Optical Zoom Lens
The high quality lens of the EX-Z1050 incorporates 7 lenses in 5 groups, including aspherical lens elements for crisp and clear images.
Exclusive Exilim Engine 2.0
The Exilim Engine 2.0 provides stunning performance while being extremely power efficient and enables the camera to be so incredibly small. This latest processor also incorporates Motion Analysis Technology that makes unique features such as Anti-Shake DSP, and Auto Tracking AF possible, along with incredibly fast shutter responsiveness, and burst capability.
Anti Shake DSP
The Anti Shake DSP electronic image stabilizer of the EX-Z1050 reduces the risk of blurred photos if the camera is not held steadily or if the subject of your photo is moving.
Rapid Flash
With the Rapid Flash function, three photos are taken with flash in the space of just one second, ensuring that you no longer miss those wonderful moments.
High Speed Image Capture
If you keep the shutter release pressed, the EX-Z1050 takes a photo every 1.1 seconds, and the number of photos is only limited by the size of your memory card. The camera also has a High-speed burst function that can take an incredible 7 photos per second at 2 Megapixel resolution (using Normal quality and requires an SD or SDHC Card).
BestShot Scene Modes
The Exilim EX-Z1050 incorporates 38 Best Shot scene modes available so you'll be able to take beautiful pictures, regardless of the shooting situation or your particular photography expertise. Simply select the sample scene that resembles the type of image you are trying to record and the camera is configured automatically with the applicable recording mode, Auto Focus setting, and more.
eBay Best Shot Mode
The eBay Best Shot mode is one of 38 Best Shot Modes featured in the EX-Z1050. eBay Best Shot takes photos at a size that is optimized for display on eBay, allowing picture takers to more quickly and easily create photos for selling items on eBay. eBay Best Shot mode also uses Auto Macro to capture images of small items such as jewelry, tags, etc. For further ease of use, eBay photos are stored in a special eBay directory on the cameras memory.
Revive Shot
The Revive Shot-Function gives old album photos a new and long life in digital form. Simply photograph the pictures and with the help of the trapezoid compensation and the color restoration features, yellowed and faded colors are improved automatically.
Time Stamp and Date Editor Function
The Time Stamp function enables you to give your photos a "time stamp" so that you can always see at first glance when you took the photo. The date editor function lets users easily adjust the date and time recorded with the image after the photo has been taken - great if the camera time was not set properly when you were shooting.
Movie Mode and Audio Record
The Ex-Z1050 is able to Record movies with sound at broadcast quality, and can continue recording as long as there is memory available. A built-in speaker lets you check the audio as soon as you record it. Other audio features include audio snapshot (with audio recorded at the same time as the image or added later), and a Voice Recorder feature.
Very Bright 2.6" Wide Screen TFT Color Display
The EX-Z1050 is equipped with an extremely bright and wide 2.6-inch Wide Screen TFT color display. The display is much brighter than that typically found on most digital cameras, so you can easily view your photos - even in extremely strong sunlight.
High-speed Image Scrolling Function
With the High-speed Image Scrolling function you can scroll through ten shots a second and thus find the right one quickly.
In-Camera Image Adjustment
The EX-Z1050 includes a range of useful in-camera editing features. The Re-Size & Trimming features lets you change the size of the picture already in the camera or crop the image - then save the new image as a separate file. There are also image color adjust controls and other in-camera editing features available so you can get exactly the picture you want without the need for a computer.
Super Life Battery
Thanks to the latest technologies, the EX-Z1050 uses much less energy than earlier camera models. Add the extremely powerful Super Life Battery that is included with the camera and the camera is always ready for use, and takes up to 370 shots on a full charge (as per CIPA Standard).

Excellent Little Camera with Surprising Quality

By Kevin G.

from Harrisburg, PA

Comments about Casio Exilim EX-Z1050 Digital Camera (Black):

I have a few point and shoots (quite a few), as well as SLRhardware, but I've been struggling to find a compact cameraI can take around which runs silent, and allows good togreat image quality (in a JPG image). Luckily, a few hit and misses later, I discovered the CasioZ1050 and was pleasantly surprised. The image quality is superb for a camera of this size. Noiseis controlled, aberrations are minimal, and the compressionis not so much that there is any noticeable artifacting.Color is great too, and even though I don't use the BestShot mode, it is a dream for novice shooters looking to getthe right image in a particular light setting.I added a Delkin skin (black rubber) (highly recommended) tothe unit for extra protection, which give me better grip andprotection for the LCD screen. I have large hands and sosuch a camera would love to get away from me and fall on theground. In silent mode, this camera is practically stealth, which isgreat for museum shots or shots in groups of people.Everybody is so hung up about getting their pictures takenin public nowadays. When I'm shooting a group, I never getany dirty looks anymore. The camera powers up quite quickly and there is littleshutter lag, making this camera responsive the way I wouldexpect.. Delays may very well cost me that prize winningimage someday.I also recommend at least one extra battery (I bought 2),because of the SDHC card support. You can put up to an 8GBSD card in there, and you want enough battery life to fill it. I recommend the Sandisk Ultra II, Ultra III or the LexarSeries of cards. They write fast and will keep up to eventhe most astute clickers. The menus are intuitive and easy to navigate. Even with mybig hands, the buttons are easy to push.I only found one issue (and I'm not yet convinced it's not asetting) but that would not stop me from highly recommendingthis camera. At the price, and the size and with thesefeatures and better image quality than my G7 Canon, Casiohas created a sweet camera for an even sweeter price.

Expertise: 25+ years

Problems Encountered: The ISO seems to reset to Auto every time I power down thecamera, but all other settings stay the same. I have beensearching to see if this can be overcome, and it may verywell be I just haven't found the setting yet, but if youforget and want to control the ISO, it can catch you off guard. If you are a point and shooter, this will not be an issuefor you. The camera's ISO selection is very accurate.

Previous Equivalent Item Owned: Too much to list, Olympus, Canon, Sony and many others

Items I Recommend: Delkin protective skin, Sandisk Ultra III SD Card, 2 Extra Batteries
