Comments about Iogear MiniView 4-Port USB KVM Switch with Built-in Cables and Audio Support:
Fast switching is great. Love the ability to change just video/mouse/keyboard, while leaving audio at current input. Great price!
Doesn't work with Logitech's K350 keyboard for switching between inputs, so I had to buy a separate USB keyboard.

Comments about Iogear MiniView 4-Port USB KVM Switch with Built-in Cables and Audio Support:
I ordered this as a replacement for an older KVM that did not support USB, but instead had the DIN connectors. This new switch works perfectly with the ThinkPad keyboard with build in TrackPoint (a small joystick type mouse in the keyboard so you can keep your hands on home row while typing and still use the mouse). I've got two laptops and two desktops connected. I particularly liked the ability to switch the keyboard and monitor while chosing to keep the audio with another computer so I can set up iTunes or the Sony Location Free TV player on an extended monitor then switch to a laptop to do my work.

Comments about Iogear MiniView 4-Port USB KVM Switch with Built-in Cables and Audio Support:
This is currently the BEST KVM on the Market for two reasons (Size & Flexible Cables) I have used other major brand KVM whose cable are Bulky & Stiff hence they don't stay in the place/position you want it to be. I would have given it 5 stars if it had one extra USB port to share ( like a web Cam). Other than this, this a very Fine KVM.

Comments about Iogear MiniView 4-Port USB KVM Switch with Built-in Cables and Audio Support:
I use the KVM with a Lenvo Enhanced USB keyboard and Lenovo Scroopoint mouse for 3 laptops in docks and one desktop.
This model works great with the Multi Media keyboard keys as well as full Scrollpoint mouse functionality (including driver sensing the mouse).
The only issue I've seen to date is that occasionally Windows XP has an error detecting the mouse on docking of the laptop. Easily corrected by simply switching the KVM to another machine and right back again.

Comments about Iogear MiniView 4-Port USB KVM Switch with Built-in Cables and Audio Support:
flawless except if a laptops usb port powers down. simply get a hub to supply constant power, or turn off power saving features on laptops. The Real Deal. Didn't know one existed. Bought 2 KVM's to switch between 8 pcs. 1-2 seconds between switching, sometimes it's only 1/2 a second. It's totally hardware independant how fast's the switch. Saves me money and time. Works well regardless how many pc's are attached. No problems drawing enough power from USB. No hanging up hitting esc key doesnt fix.

Comments about Iogear MiniView 4-Port USB KVM Switch with Built-in Cables and Audio Support:
This MiniView is great. It works on my old 2000 Compaq with Win-Me and Xp. It also is working with my 2009 ACER with VISTA and my new 2010 Compaq with Widows 7-64. {Note: all three Computers are AMD}
The best thing I like about The MiniView is at the end of the day when I shut down my Vista and the next day when I start up my Windows 7-64 it will automatically switch the monitor with out any help from me.
The only bad things I had to say about "The MiniView" is that my speakers did not work because I had no power supply, so I used a USB power supply and it works great. And I wish that they would had a couple extra USB ports for my Ext. Hard Drives.

Using this with a (MacBook Pro, PC Desktop (dual boot W7 & OSX), Mac Desktop, and a Q-See DVR).
Hot Key switching between setups works as advertised. My Kensington Trackball Pro and the Keyboard will not control the Q-See Dvr once switched over, but that doesn't have anything to do with the KVM switch (at least I can still view the cameras.
Mac users be sure to read the directions to switch the hot key for the Mac keyboard "Ctrl" key, then follow the normal directions for monitor switching. I also added some 6ft VGA and USB extension cables to keep my computers outside my studio.

Comments about Iogear MiniView 4-Port USB KVM Switch with Built-in Cables and Audio Support:
MiniView switch works great and is very reliable. This product replaced a ps2 based KVM switch, which didn't work as well on newer PCs with USB connections only.
The sound feature of the MiniView wasn't useful to me, as you can get sound from only one connected PC at a time.

Connected two desktop computers to my sound system, keyboard, mouse and Samsung SyncMaster 2043 monitor. Took no time at all to set up. Hit SCROLL LOCK twice and ENTER to switch between computers.

Comments about Iogear MiniView 4-Port USB KVM Switch with Built-in Cables and Audio Support:
It works really well switches from PC to PC easily. Did not have any issues hooking up or learning how to use. I would recommend to anyone using a KVM. Only issue I sawas was sometimes a clicking noises comes from the speakers that is shared amongst all. My buddy and I actually bought one and we are both experiencing the same issue. It does not affect quality when it sound is coming through speakers. I would recommend this product to anyone.

Comments about Iogear MiniView 4-Port USB KVM Switch with Built-in Cables and Audio Support:
I bought this machine because I have an older PS2 mouse/keyboard KVM switch that turned out not to be Linux compatible, and this was the only such unit that I could find a recommendation for with Linux. It works very well; it is currently running with one Unix and two Linux machines. I also like the switched audio feature; it lets me drive a receiver and better speaker system from all three systems. One downside is that one machine doesn't load the USB keyboard driver until after one needs to make a boot selection, and so I have to simply wait for it to time out. But that's a problem with that machine's BIOS, not this unit. Another machine had to have a BIOS setting revised to include a USB keyboard/mouse. Other than that, the switch has worked faultlessly, and I'd readily buy another.

Comments about Iogear MiniView 4-Port USB KVM Switch with Built-in Cables and Audio Support:
I connected 2 laptops with this IO-Gear 4-port USB KVM switch, I am also planning to connect a desktop with this KVM switch. No setup, no software to install, connect each set of cable for each PC and ready to switch by typing "scroll-lock", "scroll-lock", "1" or "2" or "3" or "4", and "enter". So simple to use.
