I purchased 4 swan Wireless ADW-300 Digital Surveillance Cameras. One was out of range, so the SW234-HGA Wireless Network Booster was recommended by Swann's technical support. When the booster came, it had only a 12'' wire between it and the receiver. After installing, it didn't improve the reception in the room. I called, technical support, they told me to get "N Plug Cable" with connections which I ordered. When it came, not only did it not fit the receiver but it was a 16 gauge heavy duty cable for outside which I had to return. I solve the problem by ordering a 12 ft bnc extension and install the receiver with the booster outside the room above the door. In testing it, the booster doesn't seem to improve the reception much over the little antenna on the receiver. I think it was a waste of money. Maybe if I got the right cable with connections, the booster might have done a better job. I recommend that the specifications for the "N Pug Cable" and connections be included with either the antenna or the receiver. Technical support wasn't very helpful with the specs.
