Adobe Photoshop Lightroom is an application that perfectly complements Adobe Photoshop, and is an extremely useful tool for managing and editing digital images. Lightroom software presents a well-defined workflow method that incorporates within a single application: image importing, management, development, and presentation, all while preserving the integrity of the original image file data with non-destructive editing. RAW file support extends to over 150 different proprietary camera formats plus DNG, JPEG, TIFF and PSD. Completed images can be output directly to print, the web, or transferred to Photoshop. Lightroom's powerful feature set provides a flexible workflow method for photographers that allows for more time behind the lens and less time staring at a monitor.

• Non-destructive Edits: By utilizing the versatility of RAW image file formats, Lightroom allows photographers to experiment with photos without altering the original file, regardless of the original file type.

• Workflow Management: Edit large groups or individual images without difficulty. Built-in automation accelerates the act of downloading, importing, re-naming and sorting of photos while batch-correcting and adjusting one or all imported images.

• Metadata Editor: Metadata stamping and advanced keywording aids in searching, tracking, protecting, and organizing large groups of photographs.

• Powerful Suite of Image Adjusters: White-balance, exposure, tonal curves, lens curvature correction, B&W conversion, and color corrections are easily applied to a single image, or globally to a set.

• Track Image Edits: With Non-destructive editing, all image processing, from import to output, is saved to a tagged history file. This allows for a return to a previous stage without disturbing the original or finalized file whilst opening an avenue for alternate output versions.

• Editing Workspace: Images are easily sorted and organized within a simplified workspace. Lightroom is the closest digital replacement for a light table full of chromes for editing.

• Presentation & Post-Processing: Uncluttered screen views aid in displaying images and deciding on final edits. Lightroom is able to output photos directly to print or the web with a variety of included templates.
