Comments about RF-Link AVS-5808 5.8GHz Wireless 8-Channel Indoor Audio/Video System:
This is actually a pretty nice system but unfortunately it didn't meet the needs of my church. Wireless is great but it would not pick up from one brick building to another brick building. As long as the transmitter and receiver are in the same building it should work great. One option is to purchase an outdoor wireless antenna booster to help improve the signal if you are going to use this in different buildings.

Comments about RF-Link AVS-5808 5.8GHz Wireless 8-Channel Indoor Audio/Video System:
works very well as described except range is a little weak (40' distance application through an outside wall to an outdoor tv in a bar application) - the cheaper leapfrog and like types don't really work all that well at all....

Great Product.. Very good range... waiting on the amplifier to increase diatance, without it the signal travels goot around 2 blocks

Order this unit for a event where we needed a remote camera. At 50', the unit was losing it's signal with direct line-of-sight from point to point. Packed it back up within 10 minutes of receiving it and shipped it back. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME.

Comments about RF-Link AVS-5808 5.8GHz Wireless 8-Channel Indoor Audio/Video System:
I had a cheap AV transmitter that didn't work very well, maybe because it operated at the same 2.4GHz as my wifi internet router. The transmission distance isn't far, maybe 20 feet, but it has to work through a 1920s lathe and plaster wall. There is an occasional slight wiggle on the video, so it is not perfect, but I don't need perfect. I am *very* happy with the product. It is actually 5-stars for me, but I think the screen-wiggle and the short distance means I have to downgrade it in comparison to other products.

Comments about RF-Link AVS-5808 5.8GHz Wireless 8-Channel Indoor Audio/Video System:
I purchased this product to try to put together a wireless mobile camcorder setup to stream live to the net. I have the transmitter in a backpack with an external lithium battery powering it. The camcorder plugs into the transmitter though a composite cable running from the camera's A/V out. I replaced the stock antenna with a 12dbi 5.8ghz L-Com Omnidirectional antenna for both the transmitter and reciever. This set up allows me to move over 150ft indoors (multiple walls with metal studs) and over 300ft outdoors and get live feeds back to my computer for streaming live to the internet. The one drawback is that I cannot shoot AND move, as walking produces interference. As long as I keep the pack stationary the signal is clear.

Tired other type units to get tv to our bath but nothing would make the trip in our condo. Upgraded to this unit (from the 4-channel) and it did the job. I'm adding the amp in a few days to see if the picture will go from 4-stars to 5. Audio is as clean as it can be. I'd buy this unit again

Comments about RF-Link AVS-5808 5.8GHz Wireless 8-Channel Indoor Audio/Video System:
The AVS-5808 didn't live up to the expectations that I had. I had it in clear line of site. No more than 125-150 ft and it could handle video without interference. When it was on, it was on, but about every 25 seconds it would flip. [...]

Comments about RF-Link AVS-5808 5.8GHz Wireless 8-Channel Indoor Audio/Video System:
I use this in my home - TX and RX are only about 40 feet apart, on two different levels of the house. Occasionally the picture "tears" at the bottom regardless of channel selected. Slight, but annoying. Sound is always excellent. I've not tested it at long distances yet.
