The FlowPod may be used alone as a camera stabilizer when minimal bulk is needed for shooting in confined spaces. The sliding top stage helps accommodate uneven camera payloads, and the lower section extends to serve as a monopod when needed. The operator controls the stabilizer through the low-friction ball-jointed handle, which effectively isolates body movement from the camera platform.
With the Navigator arm and vest connected to the FlowPod, operator comfort and fine camera control dramatically improve. This is due to the fact that the payload is suspended by the spring-loaded arm which is anchored on the vest, thereby evenly distributing the payload across the operator's shoulders and hips. As a system, the net result is that the operator is freed to concentrate on camera movement, and will be able to shoot much longer without adverse health effects.
