I bought this for my 2 kids, aged 7 and 4, for a 11-hour flight overseas. I wanted the battery to be long enough for 2 complete movies, just in case. I can't say we tested it to that limit, but overall, I'm really pleased. The video is crisp, the sound is good, it looks and feels solid, the controls are intuitive, and I would definitely recommend this model. Also, I paid about [$], which, for portable DVD players may be on the high end, but you get what you pay for - all the cheaper models seemed to have poor video, poor audio, short battery life, poor controls, or some combination of those problems. Buy this one and you'll have a good product for a long time!

I purchased this player for the long battery life, but got more than I expected. This player is great due to the fact that I can flip the screen anyway I wanted. Especially nice when it is mounted in the car for my 5 and 10 year old kids. The sound is plenty loud and picture is good in bright conditions.

This DVD player is very functional. We used it on a long drive so our 18 month old could watch her videos when she started to get stir crazy.
The head rest mounting worked very well and the screen position adjustments make it easy to get it just right. The player never skipped and the battery lasted for several hours of on-off operation... though we didn't come close to the claimed 12 hours of operation.
The screen resolution is pretty low and can seem noisy sometimes when it's trying to display video that contains a lot of detail but for the price, I doubt there's much better - so I'm not going to take anything away for that.
The only reason I'm not giving it five stars is because of the battery life. I realize you're only going to get 12 hours under ideal conditions but I'd be surprised if we got six hours of play (still good).

This is the only portable dvd player that has a headrest mounting bracket. It is wonderful. I hate those bags that you have to attach to the headrest. With one click it is attached to the headrest and will not budge. Wonderful product.
