The Aquatica Megadome Port is ideally suited for extreme wide-angle lenses when used in Aquatica housings, because of its large diameter of 9.25" (235mm). The dome's glass construction allows for quick shedding of water droplets, one of the prime concerns for over/under photos. Discriminating photographers will also appreciate the optical anti-reflection and scratch resistant coatings. The port is compatible with all lenses list on the port chart for the 8" dome.
The Aquatica Megadome is made of BK-7 mineral glass, ground and polished to perfection. This will maximize light transmission. The large radius of the Megadome will optimize your lens coverage, and allow your quality optics to shine underwater.

Comments about Aquatica 9.25" Megadome Port:
I use this dome for most of my underwater photography. It is large enough not to give any extra distortion. At the same time that is the one drawback. The smaller 6.0 dome can not give all the advantages of open view point that the mega dome does but it is easier to get in smaller macro shot areas.

Comments about Aquatica 9.25" Megadome Port:
A marked improvement over Aquatica's 8' acrylic dome, producing sharper corner to corner images and better over/under shots.
Heavy topside but in the water the weight of the glass counter balances the housing better than the acrylic dome. The real downside is in a slight increase in baggage weight.
